Peekaboo

A dystopian photo-poem about state spying and surveillance capitalism eroding privacy and personal freedoms; design and typography by poet Ross Adamson

Peekaboo! They’re watching you.

This word-art piece features verse from Destined Dystopia, a cautionary rhyme I wrote about the surveilled dystopian society that may be more imminent than we like to think.

The Orwellian nightmare that will inevitably materialise as a logical consequence of deep and constant state snooping, along with unbridled surveillance capitalism, can only be prevented if we act soon.

Wait too long and we will lose all privacy, autonomy and the last vestiges of actual democracy – and thus our ability to organise and resist.

We will then have no choice but to succumb to lasting oppression.
